Canon and medium: Hataraku Maou-sama! anime, but if supplemental information comes up from the light novels I might use it for characterization if it doesn't bring me past the canon point I was initially apping.

Preincarnated History: What happened to your character in their canon? You don't need to explain the entire series to us, just the relevant parts in regards to the character's development, and some context to make sure it makes sense. Headcanon should be written in italics.
Basically, short version goes like this: Emi is raised as an avenging hero, hunts down the dark lord Maou on Ente Isla, and is about to kill him when he ports to Japan, and she follows him, intent to hunt him down, only to find out he's become an employee at MGronalds and is generally something of a decent and kind person.
At this point, lacking her magical power, she's at a loss for what to do with him, so she more or less stalks Maou while he works and lives just to make sure he's not actually doing evil things, and as it becomes more or less apparent that he isn't, she helps and accepts help from him dealing with various friends and foes who come from Ente Isla to hunt him down for various reasons, and befriends several humans as well, occasionally manifesting her previous holy power if it is required by circumstances (and she has access to the power).
She seems inclined to stay in Japan to keep an eye on Maou for the time being, though whether this is due to really being worried about his capacity for evil or his desire to take over the world or for more affectionate reasons is debatable by the end of the anime.

Reincarnated History: What happened to your character that got them to this point in their normal, human life? While a lot of information isn't necessary here, please give us a clear picture of who they are now and where they'll be headed in the context of the game. Emilia was born in the US, in the greater philadelphia area, to her father, Robert M Justice, and her mother, who left while Emily was still an infant. Rob runs a small dairy farm in the exurbs of Philly, and she has a fair amount of cousins with whom she was close, and went to a fairly nice public high school, and had a fair amount of friends, though she's lost touch with some of them due to moving or time.
She worked on the farm during her middle school and and high school years, and quietly resolved NOT to inherit the family farm and work a white-collar job, while she loves her dad she -hates- working on a farm and getting her hands dirty.
She went to Drexel University in Philadelphia, and recently graduated, but has been unable to find a job in her field (criminal justice) at this time, and has taken up call center work as a stopgap, while applying for jobs in a number of fields related to her major. While she doesn't like to admit it, her job isn't enough to make ends meet at this time, and she's being quietly helped by her dad, as the farm makes more than enough money to provide for her and him without any problems.
She got teased a lot about her major vis a vis her last name in College, but she's learned to more or less good-naturedly play it off with only the occasionally really grumpy face. She didn't really have a boyfriend (or girlfriend) in college, being too busy with studying for the most part, and she graduated with fairly good marks. She does enjoy a good drink, and experimented a bit with drugs, but didn't find them to be particularly suitable to her.
Her dad remarried while in college, and she maintains cordial relations with her stepmother, who reciprocates in kind, though it clearly is not a mother/daughter relationship, simply a friendly one.
Emilia doesn't much care for cars, despite growing up in the Exurbs, and prefers to walk everywhere, or ride public transportation if possible. She has a rather beat-up compact, but she rarely drives it if she can avoid doing so.

The first time emi sat down at her call-center desk, she briefly remembered a conversation with Maou that she had while working phones at her old job. It was an odd moment of deja vu, and helped her just a bit in quickly picking up how to use the headset, from a practical perspective.
Preincarnation
A hero through and through, and perhaps a bit of a tsundere, (Though this may have more to do with circumstances than anything else) Emi was trained from childhood to be the Hero who would free Ente Isla from the grasps of Maou, which she managed. She's fairly adept at making new friends, and has to be something of a good and patient listener in general, thoguh she can manifest an angry streak at times, (most commonly in relation to Maou)
Emi's general impulse is towards kindness and doing the right thing, and she'll save even people she doesn't like by impulse in a dangerous situation, though sometimes to her later chagrin and embarassment.
She is fairly stubborn, but over time she is more than willing to change her mind, a good example being her evolving opinion of Maou throughout the course of the series, where she goes from being completely intent on killing him, to trying to convince him to peaceably live safely on earth.
She holds a strong resentment towards Maou for having his forces kill her father (though it was later revealed her dad was still alive).
Any differences: You are encouraged to deviate from the original personality in three or four major ways, made to make their personality logical to the setting and their new history (which, by default, varies from their original life). If the personality does not differentiate significantly, or if the differences do not make sense given the rest of your app, revisions may be asked for.
Emilia doesn't have the strong resentment of Maou in this world, as her father is still alive and has nothing to do with him.
Emilia's more concerned about her missing mother, since her father has never mentioned him, and she's actually considered following up with a private investigator to see what can be foud out.
Emilia hasn't been raised as an avenging badass hero, but a normal person who went to college, and while her impulse towards good work is still pretty strong, she doesn't immediately resort to going on a world-changing crusade in order to alter the way things are. She's more liable to donate to a good cause and maybe vote.
Abilities:
The history site previously linked also has her powers and abilities, but she's basically got some ability to manipulate memory, create barriers, fly, survive and recover from broken bones or other brutal kinds of damage, as well as enhanced strength. She also wields a special sword known as Better Half, due to her relationship on her mother's side to archangels.
She can also set her sword on fire and use energy blasts.
